Established in 1870, Evan Thomas and Sons Ltd (the Company) has developed and adapted with the ever changing world of construction and environmental building and now specialises in Energy Company Obligation (ECO) works. Applying the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES), compliance & funded energy efficiency works, The Company utilises residential statutory obligations as opportunities to update and improve UK properties, through carbon reduction and energy conservation.

We are a construction and installation company with compliance at the centre of all of our projects; registered in the UK and based in a fully renovated and insulated grade two listed, old rectory outside of Hay on Wye, Wales. 

The Company provides bespoke retrofit building works including insulation, heating solutions and property renovation. MEES, carbon emission compliance in conjunction with EPC updates and exemptions for listed properties provides a broad and busy foundation for The Company’s Country Estates and Private Residential Rural Portfolio. 

We offer full spectrum solutions for rural estates, from initial desk review of portfolios to face-to-face surveys, construction and insulation works. This includes complete photo and data filing for and on behalf of Portfolio Managers. We assess, report, project manage and deliver fully or partially funded energy related home improvements for these special properties across the UK.
